As we litter picked today we noticed that the poppy wreaths had gone from the Cross of Sacrifice. Why and where to……..?

Then we opened our eyes and realised that the Cross and the side walls had all been cleaned, hence the removal of the wreaths. Well done to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for restoring these beautiful items to their former glory.

 

 

 

 

 

 

These photographs don’t do them justice, but the daffodil bulbs that the Friends planted around the memorial walls are in full bloom. We also spotted the beautiful flower filled grave areas below.
