Not that we mean to keep going on, but……….

We are still celebrating being awarded a ‘Silver Gilt’ medal by the RHS for Heart of England in Bloom! We now have the certificate and here is a photo of it in our hands as proof!

Yet again can we take the opportunity to thank Nicola for her suggestion that we enter, the RHS for including Cemetery entries this year and everyone that works so hard to keep Brandwood End looking at its best both ‘in bloom’ and also on more practical levels.

  1. Joy Walkey (nee Maiden) says:

Congratulations on getting this award. It’s so wonderful to see that you are caring for Brandwood End Cemetery so well and obviously enjoy beautifying it enough to be recognised in this way.

My Dad’s Aunts and Uncles lived at Brandwood Farm and the aunts delivered milk by horse and cart around the neighbourhood. Dad lived at 7 May Lane and he talked of playing on the fields near the cemetery when he was a boy and his wish was granted when he was laid to rest there in January 1970. I came to live in Vancouver Canada in 1965 and unfortunately haven’t visited BEC for many years now.

Thanks to all of the Friends for all that you do, may God bless you all.
