Sad news that the recent storm has caused the felling of 2 mature trees. Both these trees were near the Broad Lane gate entrance, making entry difficult.

The largest tree fell and damaged the second one which was then reduced to a ‘standing stick’. We hope this will be left in situ as it will at least make great insect habitat.

The trees were dealt with speedily and we expect after Christmas they will be removed from site.

THE BROAD LANE GATE REMAINED UNLOCKED TODAY BUT CLOSED. IT WOULD BE HELPFUL NOT TO USE IT TILL THE DEBRIS IS REMOVED.
