Another beautiful day in Brandwood End and it is great to see such colourful blossoms. These trees were planted very recently as part of a Birmingham Trees for Life project with the help of pupils from St Albans R.C. Primary school. They are already in bloom!!

Storms bring two trees down
Two large trees have been damaged by last nights storm. One Beech has been completely uprooted and one of the pines has lost a large branch. By some miracle, despite the branches falling in grave areas, it would appear little or no damage occurred to headstones.
More work on the chapels…
Great to see contractors working again on the chapels today. They are making sure the window boards are secure and ‘pigeon’ proof, and then giving them a new coat of paint!
Great work at yesterdays Litter Pick.
Eight supporters joined together to take part in a very productive litter pick in the cemetery yesterday. The ‘March’ litter pick always produces lots of wind blown litter and that proved to be the case this year with 20 bags being collected! Maybe it is the exceptional weather but everyone was amazed at the beautiful …

Spring has sprung in Brandwood End
Such a beautiful display of Crocus bulbs now in flower. Shame they arn’t where we planted them as they have been subjected to ‘squirrel redeployment’ ! We are pretty sure he forgot where he hid them!
Scaffolding comes down !
Great to see the scaffolding being removed after the installation of the new temporary chapel roof. Lets hope we can manage to get the area within the fencing tidied up a bit now…….hedges boxed back, grass cut….and yet again, shrubbery removed from the brickwork! We live in hope!
